Keynote speakers

 Quincentenary celebration year

  • The BAPO 2005 meeting will be held in Ediburgh as part of the Royal College of Surgeon’s quincentenary celebrations


 BAO-HNS (ENT-UK) annual meeting

  • The BAO-HNS (ENT-UK) meeting, also in Edinburgh, will precede the BAPO meeting. As many colleagues may plan to attend both meetings, formal registration will be required for the BAPO meeting. A registration form will be sent to members and will also be available via the menu.

Registration 

  • Latest registration date is July 31st, 2005.

 Papers and posters

  • The closing date for submissions of papers and posters is June 30th 2005.

  • The abstract submission details and form will be available via the menu.

 National Clinical Excellence Awards

  • From this year, BAPO is eligible, as a specialist society, to nominate consultants for National Clinical Excellence Awards. As part of this eligibility, BAPO must submit data to the ACCEA on the consultant membership. A form will be available via the menu and also sent by post.

  • It is essential that all consultant members complete and return a form, even If they are ineligible or do not wish to be considered for a nomination.

  • This information will allow BAPO to offer the best support to consultant BAPO members applying for an award.  The 2006 award round starts towards the end of 2005, and nominations will be considered at the BAPO Council meeting in Edinburgh.

 Paediatric ENT fellowships in the UK & abroad

  • New for this year is the preparation of a portfolio of information about paediatric ENT fellowships in the UK and abroad.

  • If you have any information or experience of these, please email a short summary to:bap[email protected].
